Dos años despues, editan su primer single llamado 割れた窓 (Wareta Mado) con Warner Music Japón, marcando su debut con un sello internacional.
En 2001, su contrato con Warner Music Japón termina. Cambian a SWEET HEART RECORDS Donde sacan el sencillo 散りユク僕ラ (Chiriyuku Bokura). En este momento Takashi deja a la banda, y es remplazado por Sasabuchi Hiroshi para e entonces siguiente album Träumerei.
En el 2002, tuvieron un contacto corto con ATMARK CORPORATION y editan 蒼い鳥 (Aoi Tori) y トロイメライ (Träumerei) con ellos.
Un año después en el 2003, Editan dos singles バカになったのに (Baka ni Natta no ni) and もしもピアノが弾けたなら (Moshimo Piano ga Hiketa Nara) con un mes entre la edición de cada uno, con el sello SWEET HEART RECORDS. Luego, En el 2005, Son transferidos de SWEET HEART RECORDS a un sub-sello l de Universal Music, J-ROCK.

Plastic Tree planeó su primer gira mundial en 2006, llamada the Chandelier Tour, atuvo conciertos en Francia, Alemania y Finlandia. El tour también contenia conciertos en México pero desfortunadamente fueron cancelados.
en el 2008 editaron un DVD llamado Merry go around the world, que contiene mucho material, como MC, entrevistas y el dia a dia de la ultima gira, todavia con Bucchi como baterista.
En junio, 2009 editaron un nuevo single llamado Fukurou, y esperan su segunda actuación en el Budokan este proximo octubre. con un nuevo Baterista luego del abandono de Buchii a principios de este año.
プラスティック トゥリー was formed in December 1993. Early in their career, they would frequently perform live and hand out free copies of their demotapes. In 1995, they released their first mini-album [Strange Fruits] on GIO RECORDS, after changing drummers twice.
Two years later, they would go on to release their first single 割れた窓 (Wareta Mado) with Warner Music Japan, marking their debut and their first release on a major label.
In 2001, their contract with Warner Music Japan ended. They switched to SWEET HEART RECORDS where they released the single 散りユク僕ラ (Chiriyuku Bokura). This is when Takashi left the band, being replaced by Sasabuchi Hiroshi on the then-upcoming Träumerei album.

Plastic Tree planned their first overseas tour in 2006, named the Chandelier Tour, and performed concerts in France, Germany and Finland. The tour also contained concerts in Mexico, but they unfortunately had to be canceled.
By the time in 2008 they Release a DVD called Merry go around the world, wich have a lot of material, like MC, interview and the diary about they last Tour, with bucchi as a main drumer.
In june, 2009 they release a new single called Fukurou, and wait for their upcoming concert..2d in Budokan..this October. first huge gig since Bucchi quit. early in 2009.
